National Student Leadership Conference

I worked as an Assistant Team Advisor fo the National Student Leadership Conference for Sports Management. I attended this same conference as a high school student, and had such a positive experience, I felt compelled to return and work for the conference. As an employee of the conference, I was tasked with ensuring that all students who attended stayed safe and were having a positive, educational experience. I facilitated many leadership exercises, as well as teaching classes in leadership topics, as well as a class introducing students to the basics of contracts and corporate sponsorships. Additionally, I spent a great deal of time working on the development and execution of a client management simulation which allowed students to step into the role of agents managing a star client. I worked to craft situations for the students to handle, and responded to their communications based on their quality. Ultimately, the team working on the back end of the simulation created something that allowed the students to feel immersed in the reality of the simulation, and we received very positive evaluations from the students at the end of the conference.
