Metuchen Little League Buddy Ball

 

For five years, I participated in a branch of my local little league known as Buddy Ball that was dedicated to helping physically and mentally disabled children play baseball. I began participating in Buddy Ball when I was 13 years old, and loved it so much I never stopped. Participating in Buddy Ball was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, as I was able to share my passion for baseball with those who under ordinary circumstances may not have gotten to experience it. By participating in Buddy Ball for five years, I was able to improve my interpersonal communication skills, as well as leadership ability in helping to teach new and young volunteers the way that Buddy Ball operated.
